baby block quilt

i finished this quilt a while ago and it just might be the easiest quilt i have ever made. i just laid out the top (45x45) and spray basted the squares on it, about a half inch apart. then i laid out the back(plain white), batting, and top, spray basted it all, and used my walking foot to sew across the quilt in both directions. then i added the binding and washed it. the squares frayed which helped to hide any imperfect sewing. it's perfect to use to play on the carpet. not that we need a quilt to play on the floor, it just makes it more fun. i love using 1930s fabric in quilts- but they so don't match anything in my house. at all. but i keep using it. someday i may need a room just for the vintage decor i love but don't like enough to have in the rest of my house. it doesn't make sense to me either.
edit: i meant to add that i made this quilt from a kit i purchased here. (for this quilt a kit was perfect because it has 90 different prints!) and if you are in orem, this store is adorable. they have quilt kits to make you drool and keep everything very simple and traditional. (just what i like)

seriuosly LOVE it. love '30's prints, too, but pretty much hate primary colors.
