i had a few friends over for lunch last week and thought it would be fun to have a test run of my thanksgiving table. it's not everyday that we get to sit down and have a nice lunch so it was fun to let the kids run around while we chatted and enjoyed our meal. 
on the menu was spinach salad, butternut bisque, and cookies. simple but delicious and filling.
